Award-winning comedian, actor and writer Tom Allen is best known for his hyperbolic comedy. He has achieved sell-out success at the Edinburgh Festival, supported Sarah Millican on hugely popular tour of New Zealand and worked alongside such comedy stars as Romesh Ranganathan, Michael McIntyre and Josh Widdicombe. On the presenting front, Tom is best known for his work on Bake Off:The Professionals and Great British Bake Off:An Extra Slice with Jo Brand.

Award-winning comedian, writer and actor Tom Allen began performing stand-up comedy at the age of 22. Winning both the ‘So You Think You’re Funny’ in Edinburgh and the BBC ‘New Comedy Awards’ within the same year, he went on to hone his hyperbolic comedy style in front of live audiences all around the UK to great acclaim, most notably at The Edinburgh Festival and Live at The Apollo. In a supporting role, he has worked with Sarah Millican on her sell-out tour of New Zealand and worked alongside comedy stars Romesh Ranganathan, Michael McIntyre, John Bishop and Josh Widdicombe.
On the presenting front, Tom is perhaps best known for his work on Bake Off:The Professionals and The Great British Bake Off:An Extra Slice with Jo Brand. Other credits include his weekly podcast, Like Minded Friends with Suzi Ruffell, film roles in Colour Me Kubrick with John Malkovich and Starter For Ten with James McEvoy to name but a couple as well as appearances on such shows as Celebrity Crystal Maze, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Just A Minute’s 50th Anniversary episode alongside Prince Charles.
As an author, Tom has written a number of articles for the press including; The Independent, The Scotsman, The Guardian and The Lady.
In his teens, Tom was the youngest ever member of The Noel Coward Society.
