Tess Daly spent her formative years in a small village in the heart of Derbyshire. At the age of 18 she was approached by a talent scout with a view to starting a modelling career. It was a career that was to take her across the world and appear in music videos with the likes of Duran Duran before her big break into presenting on the Big Breakfast’s Find Me A Model competition. She went on to host shows such as SM:TV Live, The Royal Variety Performance, The National Lottery, Just The Two of Us, Back to Realty, Make Me A Super Model and This Time Tomorrow but she is perhaps best known as a co presenter on Strictly Come dancing. In fact, she has presented the show since it began in 2004 with Sir Bruce Forsyth dubbing her ‘Miss Sunshine’
