Phil Vickery was a member of the World Cup winning rugby squad of 2003 and former England captain. He also played for the British Lions and at club level, Gloucester Rugby and London Wasps. Away from sport, Phil hit the headlines by winning Celebrity Masterchef. He has continued to maintain his love for cookery having worked with a well-known fast food chain and also branched into sportswear creating his own range of sports clothing.

A member of the winning England World Cup Rugby team, Phil began his introduction to the sport as a twelve year old boy and went on to be selected to play for England U16’s before being signed by Gloucester having been scouted at his local club.

During his playing career, Phil also enjoyed success with Wasps and ultimately featured in over 70 matches for his country until a serious neck injury forced him into retirement.

He has since featured as a regular rugby commentator on ITV, coached at Worcester and is in frequent demand as a columnist in the press. He also has founded his own sportswear company, Raging Bull (named after Phil’s professional playing nick-name) however, Phil is undoubtedly better known to the masses these days as a winner of BBC 1’s Celebrity Masterchef. Following his success on the show, Phil’s love of food and cookery has seen him work with McDonalds fast food chain.

Away from sport and business, Phil is an ambassador to the Prince of Wales Countryside Trust and is in constant demand on the corporate circuit as an after dinner and conference speaker.
