Since Leaving BT, Peter has worked in the start-up sector involved with the MoD and defence, logistics, travel and transport, retail, energy, education, entertainment, healthcare, security and I.T both in management and on a consultancy level. He was a founding director of eBookers which went on to become one of the largest eTravel businesses in Europe and a founding investor for Shazam, the hugely popular mobile music identification service, now one of the most downloaded Apps in the Apple Store. Peter has also served in an advisory capacity at the Qatar Computing Research Institute and was appointed the UK’s first Professor for the Public Understanding of Science and Technology.
