A self-made business entrepreneur, Martha is best known for her role as co-founder of lastminute.com. Among her numerous other roles, she founded doteveryone.org.uk the first public value creating organization and in 2013, became a crossbench peer in the House of Lords. 

She has since been appointed a member of the Joint Committee on National Security Strategy, Non-Executive Director of Chanel and Donmar Warehouse and a Trustee of the Queens Commonwealth Trust.

A renowned businesswoman, Martha Lane-Fox first came to the public eye as co-founder of the world’s largest travel and leisure website lastminute.com an enterprise she founded with Brent Hoberman. Together, they took lastminute public, guided it through the dotcom boom and economic crash before selling in 2005 for £577m.

Among her numerous other roles, Martha co-founded  LuckyVoice, a revelation in the karaoke world, acted as Chair of Go On UK for six years, a joint venture between public and private sector members helping millions of people and organizations online and has served as a non-executive director of mydeco.com, Channel 4 TV and Marks and Spencer. 

In 2013, she was appointed a crossbench peer in the House of Lords and has since been appointed a member of the Joint Committee on National Security Strategy, Non-Executive Director of Chanel and Donmar Warehouse and a Trustee of the Queens Commonwealth Trust.

She is also the Founder and Chairman of Antigone, her own small grant giving foundation, Founder and Chair of Doteveryone, lobbying for responsible, fairer technologies, a Director of Twitter, Patron of Just For Kids Law and Chancellor of the Open University.

Her charismatic presentations are both informative and enjoyable, covering such topics as customer service, the dot.com boom, the internet and e-commerce, entrepreneurship, business strategy, social responsibility, IT and online business.
