An Ambassador for global health, Bill Roedy is Vice Chair of the Gavi, board which is responsible for strategic direction and policy making, oversees the operations of the Vaccine Alliance and monitors programme implementation. He is the former chairman and CEO of MTV Networks International where he was responsible for over-seeing all of MTV Networks’ multinational channels and multimedia business operations for a number of their high-profile brands including MTV, Nickelodeon, VH1 and Comedy Central. With the capacity of reaching a potential audience of 2 billion. Prior to this Bill was a Vice President of HBO and was inducted as a Pioneer of the US Cable industry. 

Bill has used his career in television to support his many humanitarian roles and is an avid campaigner for global health. Among his initiatives, The Staying Alive campaign to promote HIV/Aids education.  He has also been named Ambassador for UNAIDS (the joint United Nations programme on HIV/AIDS) 

and served as founding Member and Chair of the Global Business Coalition (GBC) on HIV/AIDS in addition to a number of similarly related roles.
