Will began his career as a stockbroker and investment analyst before joining the Newsnight programme as a producer and economics reporter and later, Editor in Chief at The Observer where he is an established columnist. 

Other roles of note include former Executive Vice Chair and Chief Executive of The Work Foundation and a Governor of The London School of Economics. He is the co-founder and Chair of the Steering Group for the Big Innovation Centre, focussing on helping businesses, public agencies and universities put their innovative ideas into practice. 

His work over the years has included publishing a review into fair pay in the public sector, while his speeches reflect on the cultural and policy changes underway along with his agenda for reform. Providing austerity is well managed, Will firmly believes inflation and transformative innovation will lead the way to sustainable recovery.

Other roles of note during Will’s career include; Governor of the London School of Economics; Honorary Fellow of Mansfield College, Visiting Professor at Oxford, Manchester University Business School and Bristol University and  member of the Scott Trust. 

As an author, Will is the writer of a number of best-selling books on the subject of economics.
