Will has made history by becoming the first ever dedicated BBC Arts Editor to cover every aspect of the arts including funding, policy and criticism in theatre, film, music, visual arts and literature. Earlier work saw him gain experience as a director of Tate Media and found the DVD magazine Shots as well as starting up an arts TV production company creating programmes for Channel 4 and ITV. From humble beginnings as a Butlin’s Redcoat to former Head of Tate Media, Will has made history by becoming the first ever dedicated BBC Arts editor to cover every aspect of The Arts including funding policy, criticism in theatre, film, music, visual arts and literature. Prior to his work with Tate, Will also gained all manner of experience working in Our Price, a well-known high street music store, as a runner for a TV company and stage hand at Sadler’s Wells Theatre. He also founded the DVD magazine Shots, a publication encompassing international short films and commercial promos in addition to setting up a arts dedicated production company making programmes for Channel 4 and ITV. Will is an accomplished host, interviewer and after dinner speaker with a wealth of knowledge and anecdotes to impart on the subject of the arts world. As an author he has published a number of books on the topic including; What Are You Looking At?: 150 Years of Modern Art, Think Like An Artist and The Art of Monarchy.

In addition, Will wrote his own show for The Edinburgh Fringe Festival entitled Double Art History and is a regular contributor to such publications as The Times and Guardian.
