More

Tom began diving at the age of seven and it quickly became obvious that he had a great deal of raw talent. He won his first competition at the Nationals in 2004 and has been setting records ever since. In 2007, he selected to be a member of team GB’s young athletes who took part at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival.

The following year saw Tom qualify for the Beijing Olympics by finishing 7th in the Men’s Individual 10m Platform, at the FINA World Cup, ironically staged at Beijing’s Water Cube Arena. A month later, he made British diving history by taking the gold medal and title at the European Men’s 10m Platform Individual event in Eindhoven. He was just 13 years old.

The Beijing Olympics proved an invaluable experience for him with more accolades following in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Among them a top podium place at Florida’s Grand Prix event scoring perfect 10’s across the board and his first individual medal, a silver in the final stage of the World Series in Mexico, again on the 10m Platform.

2012 saw Tom win six medals in the FINA World Diving Series ultimately leading to him being named as overall Individual and Synchronized World Series Champion in the 10m Platform. He went on to win Bronze in front of his home crowd at the London Olympics later in the year. Following his inspirational achievements with Team GB in London and Rio 2016, Tom has continued to build on his success competing in Japan, Beijing, Canada, Russia and London for the FINA World series 2019, going on to Gwanju, South Korea for the World Championships where he  qualifyed for the  2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

While competition remains central to Tom’s career, he has taken time out to act as an advisor and presenter on the reality TV show Splash and also present the travel show, Tom Daley Goes Global.

A popular choice on the corporate circuit, Tom is available as a motivational and after dinner speaker, for moderated Q and A and personal appearances.
