Born in Swansea, Wales, Rob Brydon trained at The Royal College of Music and Drama before beginning his career as a radio and television presenter with the BBC. Acting roles followed with supporting appearances in such series as Barbara, The Healer, Married for Life, Eleven Men Against Eleven and Lord Misrule as well as the films, First Knight, Martha, Meet Frank, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Daniel and Laurence.

But it was for his work on the award-winning Marion and Geoff and Human Remains that Rob first became a household name.

Further credits followed on Supernova, I’m Alan Partridge, Little Britain, Have I Got News for You, Rob Brydon’s Annually Retentive and The Trip to name but a few programmes, firmly cementing his popularity at the top.

He went on to score particular success as Uncle Bryn in the hit sitcom Gavin and Stacey and is the regular host of the panel show, Would I Lie to You.

In a more serious vein, Rob has appeared in the dramas; Oliver Twist, Heroes and Villains, Murder in Mind, Napoleon, Marple, Kenneth Tynan: In Praise of Hardcore and the films 24 Hour Party People, MirrorMask and A Cock and Bull Story.

Further credits include; Trust, Swimming with Men, Holmes and Watson, Blinded By the Light and Days of the Bagnold Summer.

His radio appearances are too numerous to list but include; Sorry I Haven’t A Clue, Just A Minute and Loose Ends in addition to which Rob has provided voices for a variety of animations including The Gruffalo, The Legends of Treasure Island, The Baskervilles and Robbie The Reindeer: The Legend of the Lost Tribe.

Rob has also had a number 1 chart topping hit along with Ruth Jones, Robin Gibb and Sir Tom Jones with Islands in the stream. 

Hugely popular on the stand-up circuit, Rob has performed his shows all over the UK, including London’s West End, Australia and New Zealand.
