Having become a household name as one half of the comedy duo Mel and Sue with Sue Perkins, Mel is probably best known as a presenter on the TV series, The Great British Bake Off and The Generation Game. Together, she and Sue have written for French and Saunders, toured the country performing and recorded numerous radio and chat shows. Solo appearances include; The Vicar of Dibley, Miranda and The Wright Stuff. Behind the camera, Mel has written a number of books on the subject of pregnancy and motherhood.

Presenter and comedienne Mel Giedroyc first came to the public eye for her work with Sue Perkins. The pair met at university becoming part of the famous Footlights company before going on to create several series such as Mel and Sue, including Light Lunch and Late Lunch for Channel 4 in addition to co-presenting on the hugely popular Great British Bake Off and The Generation Game for the BBC. Mel’s other TV credits include; Comic Relief, Collectahollics, Vertigo Roadtrip, The Mel and Sue Show, Eurovision-You Decide, The Eurovision Song Contest, Draw It, Relatively Clever, The Gift, Horrible Histories and Let It Shine along with her eagerly anticipated series Hitmen!
Radio credits include; The Mel and Sue Thing and Count Arthur Strong for BBC Radio 4, Saturday Morning and Sunday Afternoon shows for BBC Radio London, The 4 O’clock Show for Radio 4 Extra and presenting work on Magic FM.
Aside from her comedy and presenting roles, Mel has appeared in the theatre in an acting capacity performing in Company, Much Ado About Nothing and Luce. She also appeared in the film How to Build A Girl.
As a writer, Sue is the author of the best-selling books From Here to Maternity and Going Ga-Ga.
Sue’s level of professionalism and light-hearted approach makes her a firm favourite as an awards host, always leaving her audiences with smiles on their faces.
