Lorraine became known to millions for her appearances on GMTV and is now considered by many as the face of breakfast TV, presenting her own show Lorraine on Good Morning Britain. Other presenting credits include; This Morning, A Family of Their Own, Secrets Revealed: DNA Stories, Wedding Day Winners and Have I Got News For You. A regular columnist, Lorraine writes for The Sun and The Sunday Post in addition to contributing to numerous women’s magazines. She has also been seen as a guest on such programmes as Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Through The Keyhole.

A native of Glasgow, Lorraine joined The East Kilbride News as a young reporter upon leaving school. She went on to become a researcher for BBC Scotland and just 12 months later, became TV AM’s Scottish Correspondent covering such stories as the Lockerbie bombing and Piper Alpha disaster. In 1989 she joined Mike Morris as the new TV:AM presenter winning the TRIC award for Best Newcomer in 1990. Other accolades include an RTS Award for Best Presenter 2006 and a ‘People’s Choice Scottish BAFTA. She was presented with an OBE for Services to Charity and the Armed Forces in 2012.

Lorraine continued with GM:TV until its demise in 2010 with ITV Breakfast taking over.

She is now best known for presenting Lorraine, weekday mornings at 8:30am also on ITV. Other presenting credits include; Have I Got News For You, Friday Night Project and The Paul O’Grady Show while making appearances on such shows as; Question Time and Never Mind The Buzzcocks.

Equally at home on radio Lorraine has presented for Talk Radio, Radio 2 and BBC Scotland. She also writes a weekly column for The Sun and Scottish Post.

Away from broadcasting, Lorraine’s charity work has seen her take part in the BT Red Nose Desert Trek for Comic Relief, is a Patron of Help For Heroes and International Cancer Research.

She is a committed supporter of Dundee Utd FC.
