Having realized a competitive career that spanned fifteen years, former Olympic Triple Jumper and world record holder, Jonathan Edwards is now a familiar face on television as a key member of sports presenting teams for such events as the Summer and Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games and World Championships. As a speaker, his presentations are eloquent and informative highlighting the pressures of competition and the need to maintain levels of expectation. He is also an accomplished facilitator and host.

World record holder Jonathan Edwards has earned his place in history as one of our great athletes. His legendary career in triple jump spanned 15 years making his last competitive jump at the World Athletics Championships in Paris, 2003.

Jonathan’s first World record came in Gothenburg at the World Championships in 1995 at his first attempt and he went onto break his own record in the second round. Numerous titles followed before finally reaching the pinnacle of success taking the Gold Medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Following his retirement from the track, Jonathan is now one the BBC’s leading sports presenters, commentator and pundit. During his time with the BBC, he has covered all of the major sporting events including three Summer Olympic Games, the 2012 Paralympic Games (Channel 4) and the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. Additional credits include; the 2012 Indoor Athletics season, the London Marathon, the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, The Great North Run, Great City Games and the Opening Ceremony of the Paralympic Games 2012.

Jonathan is equally at home whether making recorded or live presentations.

Additional achievements include being selected to sit on the board of LOCG as their athlete representative and being made Chair of the Sports Advisory Group. He was also appointed Deputy Chair of the London 2012 National and regions Group and was an adidas and Lloyds TSB London 2012 Ambassador up to and beyond the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Jonathan is in great demand as an awards host, conference facilitator, presenter and is an accomplished corporate speaker.
