John Parrott is one of only two professional snooker players to win the World Snooker Championship and UK Championship in the same year. He spent three consecutive years ranked at No 2 in the world. John can frequently be heard commentating alongside Steve Davis for major snooker tournaments

An undisputed legend in the world of snooker, during his playing career John Parrott won the UK, European and World Championship titles and still plays in exhibition matches.

Away from match play, John has been a regular member of the BBC snooker team where his involvement has been both as a pundit and commentator.

With a wealth of sporting knowledge at his fingertips, John is also a member of the BBC racing team and has covered the Derby, Royal Ascot and The Grand National.

His other sporting passions include football; being a keen Everton supporter and golf, spending as much time on the golf course as his busy schedule allows. Such is his commitment that his handicap currently stands at just two.

Renowned for his sense of humour and charismatic persona, John spent six years as a captain on the popular television quiz show, A Question of Sport, where he went head to head against Ally McCoist on a weekly basis.

John is available for awards hosting, after dinner speaking and golf days where he not only plays but will also speak at the after match dinner. If you want something a little different, John will organize a fun day for all on a corporate trip to the races.
