BAFTA nominated John Hannah trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow. He first came to prominence in Richard Curtis' Four Weddings and a Funeral with subsequent film credits include starring alongside; Gwyneth Paltrow in Sliding Doors, as Jonathan Carnahan The Mummy trilogy of films, roles in Genesis, Another Mother’s Son, Enemy Lines and as Tam McGraw in Carnaby International’s BAFTA award winning The Wee Man to name but a very few.
Television credits include: Dr Iain McCallum in McCallum; DI John Rebus in Rebus; Jack Osbourne in Cold Blood, Batiatus in Spartacus, Jack Roper in New Street Law, Jake Osbourne in Cold Blood, Adam in Marley’s Ghosts, Holden Radcliffe in Agents of Shield, Mage in Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, as DI Jack Cloth in Charlie Brooker’s A Touch of Cloth.
He also starred in the US series MDs, as well as making guest appearances in Alias and the final season of the hit American legal thriller, Damages.
