Jenny Éclair trained as a straight actress and has been seen in such series Holby City and Skins but it’s in stand-up comedy where she has really found her niche being the first woman to win the coveted Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Festival. Jenny has survived the jungle on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, surprised herself with her cooking skills on Celebrity Masterchef, lent her voice to such series as Never Teach Your Wife to Drive and gets very excited about putting the world to rights on such shows as This Morning and Loose Women.

Acclaimed first and foremost for her comedy talents and stand-up performances, Jenny trained as a straight actress appearing on TV in such series as The Bill, Al Murray’s Multiple personality Disorder, Holby City and Skins. She has also taken London’s West End stages by storm in such productions as; Grumpy Old Women Live and Grumpy Old Women Live 2:Chin Up Britain which also toured the UK, Australia and Helsinki. A UK tour of Grumpy Old Women 3: Fifty Shades of Beige followed!  

Other West End credits include performances in; Steaming, Mum’s the Word, the highly acclaimed Vagina Monologues and the lead role in The Killing of Sister George.

As a stand-up performer she was the first female to win the coveted Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Festival and continues to tour the country with her sell-out shows.

No stranger to reality TV, Jenny has survived the jungle on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, surprised herself with her cooking skills on Celebrity Masterchef, made a splash in… Splash, lent her voice to such series as Never Teach Your Wife to Drive and gets very excited about putting the world to rights on such shows as This Morning and Loose Women.

Other television credits include guest appearances on such shows as; Battlechefs, Fifteen to One, Pointless Celebrities, Big Brother’s Bit on the Side, The Apprentice: You’re Fired, QI, Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled and Smerconish to name but a few.

A prolific writer, Jenny has penned a number of one-woman plays co-written with Julie Balloo, some of which have been performed on BBC Radio 4, a variety of best-selling books and novels and is a regular contributor to various newspapers and magazines.

With a quirky, witty sense of humour, Jenny is an ideal award or event host.
