Jake’s first taste of television presenting came with a 6 year stint on CBBC hosting such shows as Newsround and Sportsround reporting live on a variety of sports worldwide. He became a household name presenting live for BBC1’s F1 coverage on race days and is the main host of BT Sport football coverage. Other credits include; Sports Personality of the Year and Summer Olympic coverage.
Jake Humphrey is a television and radio reporter of extensive experience and knowledge. At the forefront of Premier League football on BT Sport, he is equally well known for presenting many national and international events on BBC television including; the European Championships, UEFA Champions League Live, the 2012 London Olympics and the award-winning Formula 1 coverage.
Jake first joined the CBBC presenting team in 2002 for the main stream and digital launch before presenting Fame Academy’s live show and CBBC Comic Relief Does Fame Academy in 2003, 2005 and 2007. He also presented the first children’s reality programme Rule the School.
He went on to present Sportsround and various major sporting events including; the 2006 Commonwealth Games, The World Cup from Germany and the Cricket World Cup 2007. Other career highlights include; the Beijing Olympics, Euro 2008 live Championship coverage on Match of the Day, presenting Sports Personality of the Year with Sue Barker and Gary Lineker, NFL highlights from Wembley, Live Superbowl coverage and the Africa Cup of Nations.
Jake can also be found guest presenting such programmes as The One Show, This Morning and Never Mind The Buzzcocks.
Behind the camera, Jake is the co-founder of the award winning company Whisper Films and is an ambassador for CLIC Sargent.
Jake’s interests include reading autobiographies, writing and traveling. He is also a keen supporter of Norwich City FC.
A popular after dinner speaker, Jake is also available as a conference facilitator and awards host.
