A former teacher, Greg Davies is known to millions as the psychotic Head of 6th Form, Mr Gilbert in the popular Channel 4 television series The Inbetweeners and The Inbetweeners Movie. He went on to win a Best Male Performance BAFTA nomination for his role in BBC Three’s Cuckoo starring alongside Helen Baxendale and Andy Samberg which he followed with another series for Channel 4, Man Down appearing with the late Rik Mayall and Roisin Conaty.
Highly renowned for his comedy, Greg made his stand-up debut in his one-man show Firing Cheeseballs At A Dog at the 2010 Edinburgh Festival. Such was the show’s success, imparting stories of his childhood and teaching career, that it led to a nomination for the prestigious Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award and a three-time extended national tour. Needless to say, a further tour followed both resulting in best-selling DVDs.
Previous Edinburgh Fringe credits include We Are Klang, also award nominated. This led to a sitcom series and TV special for BBC Three, which Greg wrote.
