George Clarke is an architect and Creative Director of architectural practice George Clarke + Partners. He is also a writer, lecturer and TV presenter. Through his company, presenting and lecturing, George’s aim is to make architecture popular and accessible to all. Television credits include; Property Dreams, Dream Home Abroad, Build A New Life in the Country, The Home Show and Restoration Man. George is an expert when it comes to energy and sustainability. In demand as a presenter and awards host.
George is passionate about the way architecture can transform our everyday lives and his aim is to make architecture popular and accessible to everyone, while at the same time creating award winning homes for his clients.
His design talent and love of beautiful buildings has transformed the homes and lives of so many people across Britain.
Born and raised in Sunderland, George had decided he wanted to be an architect by the age of 12.
After studying architecture at the University of Newcastle and University College London, George started his own practice and in 2011 set up his new company George Clarke + Partners. George Clarke + Partners is an inspirational, new, multidisciplinary company that covers all aspects of architecture, design, project management, construction and property development. Apart from fulfilling a lifetime’s ambition on the design front, it also allows George to make successful television programmes.
He has presented several very successful series for television’s Channel 4, including; Restoration Man, The Great British Property Scandal, George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces three successful series of
Build A New Life for Five and the Empty Homes Show, resulting in him becoming the face of architecture on the channel.
When not designing, George harbours several wide-ranging interests including painting, photography, furniture, art, clothing and motorcycle and bike design.
