Gary Lineker began his football career at Leicester City before moving on to Everton, Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur and Nagoya Grampus Eight. His England debut came in 1984 with whom he received 80 caps, scoring 48 goals for his country. He is currently holds the record for goals in the FIFA World Cup Finals with ten scored. Since retiring from the beautiful game, Gary has become a familiar face on television presenting in the media most notably on BBC’s Match of the Day and for BT Sports Coverage.

He currently holds the record for goals in the FIFA World Cup Finals with ten scored and is generally acknowledged as one of the greatest footballers of his time.  

Gary’s footballing achievements include; PFA Footballer of the Year, Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year, Golden Boot Award Top Scorer - World Cup 1986 in Mexico, winner of the Fair Play Award (he never received a booking throughout his entire playing career,) and runner-up European Footballer of the Year. 

His goal tally of 48 for England places him third behind Wayne Rooney and Sir Bobby Charlton, 

Since retiring from the beautiful game, Gary has become a familiar face on television presenting in the media most notably on BBC’s Match of the Day and for BT Sports Coverage. Other presenting credits include; the Olympic Games, Football Focus, Golden Boots and Sports Personality of the Year. He was also a team captain on They Think It’s All Over and has been the face of the Walkers’ Crisp ads since 1995.

Gary has also won the TRIC Awards Sports Presenter of the Year award for his presenting skills but his sporting talents don’t end there! He is also an accomplished cricketer (MCC), golfer and snooker player. 

An impressive awards host and after-dinner speaker, Gary is much acclaimed for his charm charisma and as such is a firm favourite on the corporate circuit.
