One of the UK’s most popular talent shows, X Factor was created by the legendary Simon Cowell and his company Syco, following hot on the heels of Pop Idol. It’s quest was to search for the next singer or band with that ‘X tra’ star quality. Each of the participants were mentored by one of the four judges which over the years have included; Simon Cowell himself, Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne, Danni Minogue, Gary Barlow, Cheryl, Robbie Williams and Ayda Field. Hosts have included; Dermot O’Leary, Olly Murs, Kate Thornton and the late Caroline Flack.
