One of the most instantly recognized faces in broadcasting, Eamonn Holmes’ journalistic career spans over three decades. Multi award-winning, he is unquestionably one of the best-loved and most accomplished presenters in the UK today. Eamonn’s career began with Ulster Television at the age of 19 reporting on sport and farming. He became their youngest ever teatime anchor just two years later. Moving to England he joined the GMTV team where he remained for 13 years followed by an 11-year stint on Sky News with Sunrise before joining ITV’s flagship This Morning programme which he presents alongside his wife, Ruth Langsford. Not surprisingly for a man of his experience, Eamonn has an extensive list of other credits to is name including; Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Have I Got News For You, It’s Not Me It’s You, How The Other Half Lives and Do The Right Thing.

Eamonn’s career began with Ulster Television at the age of 19 reporting on sport and farming. He became their youngest ever teatime anchor just two years later.

For years he was a familiar face to breakfast television audiences as presenter on Sky News, his early morning appearances having begun with the launch of GMTV.

Away from his dawn starts, Eamonn has presented a number of top-rated shows appealing to all ages across the board, including several with wife Ruth Langsford, most notably; ITV’s This Morning, How The Other Half Lives and Do The Right Thing. 

Other credits include; The Feelgood Factor with Myleene Klass, The National Lottery’s Jet set, Have I Got News For You, Sudo Q for BBC 2, The Rich List for Fox TV in America and reporting from Australia on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. 

Highly versatile, Eamonn has won the Television Radio Industry Club’s Award for Best Satellite and Digital TV Personality over four consecutive years and has received Honorary Doctorates from Queens University, Belfast University and Staffordshire University.

Passionate about Manchester Utd FC, Eamonn is a real news and sports junkie. He divides his time between London, Belfast and Old Trafford!
