Debra draws on her experience and achievements as an entrepreneur, adventurer and television presenter and author to deliver her keynote presentations. Speaking from the heart and with a good deal of humour, topics covered include; personal motivation and productivity, achieving impossible goals, strategies for coping, personal performance under pressure, teamwork and positive relationships.

More

With a love of the big outdoors and always having been a keen sportswoman, Debra Searle began her working life as a PE teacher but by the time she was 23, had already swapped the classroom for a career in business.

Despite its success, Debra’s sense of adventure was never far from the surface and in 1998, she won a place with the Great Britain Dragon Boat Racing Team for the European Championships in Rome and again the following year in Nottingham, gaining gold, silver and bronze medals.

Debra first hit the media headlines when she and her then husband attempted to row the Atlantic Ocean in the Atlantic Rowing Challenge, a gruelling and life threatening 3000 mile crossing attempted in a 23ft plywood boat. Bizarrely, Searle’s husband had to be rescued when he became inexplicably afraid of the sea, leaving Debra to complete the event rowing solo. Battling against 30ft waves, sharks, stormy weather and wayward vessels, she was heralded as a sporting heroine on her arrival in the USA three and a half months later.

Today, Debra successfully runs two companies, has written a number of books and contributed to various publications. She has also forged herself a career as a television presenter and is in great demand on the corporate circuit where she is available as an after dinner speaker, motivational speaker, keynote speaker, awards host presenter and conference facilitator.

Positive and outgoing, yet modest and endearing, Debra’s presentations are powerful and motivational, linking the business world with inter personal skills and incorporating breath-taking footage and slides from her incredible story. The result leaves her audience in no uncertain terms as to what an individual can achieve with the right mindset.
