Undoubtedly the driving force behind Britain’s top cycling champions, Dave is formerly Performance Director of British Cycling and is General Manager of Team Sky. He is widely credited for his work in leading the cream of British cyclists to success in the Beijing and London Olympic Games. He also coached Bradley Wiggins and Chris Froome to Tour De France glory.  Dave speaks on the importance of focus, motivation and teamwork.

As the former Cycling Performance Director of British Cycling, Sir Dave Brailsford is the man largely credited for the phenomenal success of Team GB’s cycling athletes in the Beijing Olympics 2008 and London 2012, the latter seeing the team amass an incredible haul of twelve medals of which eight were gold. His efforts over the years have been rewarded with numerous accolades and honours including; an MBE, CBE, Knighthood and he has also been acknowledged as a BBC Sports Personality Coach of the Year.

Sir Dave began his career on the track where he spent a short period as a professional cyclist. Studying sports science and psychology, Sir Dave went on to act in an advisory capacity for British Cycling, ultimately being given the responsibility of preparing the British cycling team for the Olympics.

He is currently General Manager and Team Leader of Team Sky, the team responsible for overseeing a remarkable eight Grand Tour wins to date. A highly respected motivational speaker, Sir Dave relays the importance of teamwork, motivation and focus. Drawing from personal experience he not only gives an explanation on how to succeed as an athlete but also on the role of a coach in the athlete’s success.
