Irish professional golfer Darren Clarke has played on both on the PGA and European Tours and is highly respected as one of the most dedicated players in the sport. At the height of his career he was ranked among the top ten players in the world for an incredible 43 weeks. Darren captained the European Ryder Cup Team in 2016 with the event taking place in the USA. Aside from his playing achievements, Darren is proud to be involved with course design and is the Founder of the Darren Clarke Foundation, dedicated to the development of junior golf in Ireland and raising money for breast cancer. Darren is a popular after-dinner speaker where he presents with a good deal of wit and insight on his years in the sport.

At the top of his game for over 25 years, Darren Clarke’s career as a professional golfer has seen him play on some of the most technically difficult courses in the world.
Making his professional debut in 1990, Clarke has played on both the European and PGA Tours and has also participated in the Sunshine Tour, Japan Golf Tour and numerous World and open Championships. His tournament-winning tally over his career is impressive to say the least, with his greatest victory considered to be the 2011 Open Championship at Royal St Georges in England. Also ranking high on his list top of his achievements are two Masters Tournament wins and the WGC-Andersen Consulting Match Play Championship where he competed against and finally beat, Tiger Woods.
Clarke received much acclaim when he competed for the European Team in the 2006 Ryder Cup just six weeks after the death of his wife. Selected on a wild card, he secured three points from three matches, helping to secure the win and was chosen to Captain the European side for the 2016 competition.
With his vast experience on the game, Darren Clarke is a popular choice as a sports speaker right across the continent.
