Irish professional golfer Darren Clarke has played on both on the PGA and European Tours and is highly respected as one of the most dedicated players in the sport. Clarke received much acclaim when he competed for the European Team in the 2006 Ryder Cup just six weeks after the death of his wife. Selected on a wild card, he secured three points from three matches, helping to secure the win and was chosen to Captain the European side for the 2016 competition.
