Colin Jackson has earned himself the reputation of being one of the greatest sprint hurdlers of all time having won honours at every level. Since retiring from competition, Colin has become an accomplished sports presenter, reporting live from such events as The Olympic Games and the Athletic World Championships. He is also a charismatic and vibrant after dinner and conference speaker, motivational speaker and awards host.

Colin Jackson stands among the greatest athletes Great Britain has ever produced with two World Championships and an Olympic Silver Medal among his accolades.

During his outstanding career as a hurdler, he spent more than a decade at the very pinnacle in 110m hurdling, rated in the top 10 for 16 years and as No 1 from 1992-1994. He was outdoor World Record holder for 13 years and still holds the World Record over 60mh indoors.

Retiring from the track in 2003, Colin quickly became a natural choice to work in the media, joining the BBC sports athletic presenting team where he has covered 3 Olympic Games in addition to a number of major athletic events. Other credits include him presenting live on the BBC show Sunday Life, the documentary The Truth About You, also for the BBC and has made appearances on such shows as; Who Do You Think You Are, Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing On Ice Goes Gold.

Colin has used his skills as a producer and presenter coupled with his worldwide travel experience, to produce and develop an interactive website for the encouragement of sports men and women to help them achieve their goals and ambitions in addition to working on a similar project for children with the Raise Your Game website.

A committed charity worker, Colin is the Patron of Fairbridge Cymru, a charity working with young people to improve social skills, works closely with Sport Relief, in an International Inspiration Ambassador for UNICEF and in 2012 launched the Red Shoes Academy in conjunction with the Welsh Government – Department of Education and Skills. Red Shoes leads a group of elite sports ambassadors in Wales who visit schools and colleges to inspire and motivate the next generation.

Colin’s high profile coupled with a confident and charismatic style, makes him a popular choice in the corporate sector. His is available as an awards/conference host and motivational speaker.
