More
Brent Hoberman first came to the public eye during the dot.com boom as a founder member of lastmiute.com, the company he helped to steer from the drawing board into a multiple market operator matching subscribers to suppliers.
Brent’s early career saw him work as a Senior Associate at Spectrum Strategy, a media and telecoms consultancy. He went on to be responsible for a number of business development roles at Line One, British Telecom and United News and Media and was one of the founding team members of the online auction site, QXL.com
Brent subsequently established mydeco.com one of the UK’s leading interior design websites offering advice and furniture retail items. Other roles have included; chairman of Wayn.com a travel and leisure social network and Founders Forum, a global talking shop and platform for digital entrepreneurs. He has also invested in a number of other startups including; imagini.net, viagogo, moveme.com and wigadoo.com.
Brent’s keynote speeches explain why the time is right to “switch from bricks to clicks”.
Despite his numerous business involvements, Brent also finds time to be a Governor of London’s University of the Arts College and a non-executive board director of the Guardian Media Group.
