More

If you ask Bobby George what his proudest moment in darts is, he’ll tell you it’s representing his country for the first time. Renowned for his flamboyant jewellery and dramatic entrances, Bobby George came to darts relatively late on but quickly earned himself the nickname ‘the King of Darts’. During his career, he has taken part in numerous Embassy World Championships, won the News of the World Championships in 1979 and 1986, claimed the Butlins Grand Masters title, been crowned the Nations Cup and European Cup Champion and taken the North American Open title to name but a few of his successes.

Booby went on to become one of the first full-time darts exhibition players on the circuit and is also well-known as a pundit, adopting a unique style of banter alongside Ray Stubbs and Colin Murray on the BBC.

His outstanding knowledge of the sport not only serves to make him a world authority on the subject but also the perfect choice to cover such events as the BDO World Championships.

Away from the game, bobby has become something of a television personality appearing on such programmes as A Question of Sport, They Think It’s All Over, Celebrity Come Dine With Me, Through the Keyhole and Celebrity Fit Club to name but a few.

Often referred to as ‘The Peoples Champion’ Bobby has a wealth of experiences to impart on the after dinner circuit. Entertaining and engaging, he discusses the qualities needed to achieve goals and realize ambitions. He also hosts corporate hospitality days at his truly magnificent home, George Hall. These include exhibition performances and fishing days.

Despite all this, Bobby still finds time to take part in numerous charity matches and events.
