Writer and presenter Ben Fogle came to the fore with his work on programmes such as Countryfile, Animal Park and Holiday. He was chosen as a volunteer to spend time as a castaway for the series Castaway 2000 and was Special Correspondent with NBE News for the London Olympics. Ben is frequently seen on BBC, ITV, Channel 5 and Discovery Channel where he has appeared in numerous documentaries and natural history programmes including; Wild in Africa, Country Tracks, Extreme Dreams, A Year of Adventures, Harbour Lives, Storm City, Countrywise, Fishermen’s Live and New Lives in the Wild.

Adventurer, presenter and writer Ben Fogle is famed for his numerous television documentaries which have covered a vast array of topics. Titles include; The Secrets of Scott's Hut, Dangerous Roads and Swimming with Crocodiles for BBC2, Make me A New Face about a facially disfiguring disease, Noma in Ethiopia and Prince William's Africa, in which Ben followed the young royal on his tour of Botswana.  

He has hosted a number of hit shows including; numerous series of the BBC's Animal Park in addition to presenting Wild in Africa, Wild on the West Coast, Countryfile, One Man and His Dog, and Crufts.

Other career highs and presenting credits include; acting as Special Correspondent for NBC News, working on the London Olympics in 2012, filming Storm City in 3D for National Geographic and Sky One, Wildman for Channel 5, Ben Fogle:New Lives in the Wild, A Plastic Ocean, Countrywise:Guide to Britain and Survival of the Species to name but a few.

In 2005 Ben rowed the Atlantic with Olympic Gold Medallist James Cracknell, the five part BBC series, Through Hell and High Water, followed their efforts winning an RTS award.  Ben later teamed up with Cracknell once again to race 500 miles on foot across Antarctica to the South Pole, documented by the prime-time BBC series, On Thin Ice. 

Ben's passion for adventure culminated in three series of the BBC programme Ben Fogle's Extreme Dreams, in which he lead ordinary people on extraordinary journeys around the world from the jungles of Papua New Guinea to the desert of Libya.

Ben has written a number of bestselling books including Offshore, The Teatime Islands, The Crossing, Race to the Pole. The Accidental Adventurer and The Accidental Naturalist.  His writing has appeared in the Guardian, the Daily Mail, the Sunday Times and the New York Times, along with weekly columns for the Saturday and Sunday Telegraph.
