The mastermind behind Diversity dance troupe, street dancer and actor Ashley Banjo first came to prominence following the troupe’s appearances and win on the series Britain’s Got Talent. His choreography and exhilarating, ground breaking dance skills have become legendary making him a firm favorite in the public eye. Following a spell as a judge on Got to Dance, he has fronted his own show’s Ashley Banjo’s Street Crew and Ashley Banjo’s Big Town Dance for which he choreographed a street dance that the entire town of Stockton-on-Tees took part in. Ashley is regularly called upon to choreograph for television shows and films.
Ashley’s love of dance undoubtedly stems from his mother who is a former dancer with the Royal Ballet and as a child of 5, ballet was Ashley’s greatest passion. Later his interest turned to street dance performing solo in a number of events before going on to found the dynamic street dance troupe Diversity, bursting onto the scene in the popular talent show, Britain’s Got Talent.
Ashley has since gone on to star in a blockbuster film, created a number of nationwide large arena sell-out tours, become a judge on such programmes as Sky 1’s Got To Dance, Dance Dance Dance and Dancing on Ice, presented the gameshow Cant’ Touch This alongside Zoe Ball, Flirty Dancing and Ashely Banjo’s Street Crew in which he got the whole town of Stockton on Tees dancing together, to name but a few of his achievements. In addition he has made guest appearances on such shows as You’re Back in the Room, All Round to Mrs Brown’s, The Cube, Stella and Celebrity Juice.
Ashley is available for hosting and presenting, motivational speaking and Q and A.
