An award-winning journalist and presenter, Angela Rippon is one of Britains most recognized and best loved broadcasters, having been appointed the first woman journalist newsreader in 1975.

Her credits are many and varied including; The Holiday Programme, Crufts Championships, The Truth About Dementia and How to Stay Young. She is perhaps currently best known as a consumer champion and co-presenter of Rip Off Britain. On the lighter side, Angela received much attention for her dancing talents on the Morecambe & Wise Show and was made a CBE in the New Year Honours List 2017.

Angela Rippon has been a familiar face and voice in British broadcasting for over 50 years. An award-winning journalist, her career has spanned a wide variety of programmes on television and radio for both commercial and BBC stations in the UK, America and Australia while accolades include being entered into the Royal Television Society of Fame, voted European Woman of Achievement and twice honoured by Her Majesty The Queen for services to Broadcasting, Charity and The Arts.

She is now best known for presenting BBC’s Rip-Off Britain, championing the cause for consumers across the nation and regularly reports for BBC’s The One Show from various locations around Great Britain.

Angela was a founder member of ITV’s TV:Am morning breakfast show before moving to the USA for a spell, presenting in Boston.

Her many and varied presenting credits include; Come Dancing, Top Gear, The Antiques Roadshow, BBC One’s Holiday Hit Squad, How to Stay Young and The Truth About Dementia to name but a few.

She also received great acclaim for her guest appearance on the Morecambe and Wise Christmas show where she became famed for showcasing her dance skills.

Angela remains committed to a number of charities, including the British Red Cross of which she is Vice President. She travelled to Kenya for Comic Relief and was part of the Famous, Rich and in the Slums BBC1 programme.

Angela has written 14 books, including being Fabulous at Fifty and Beyond published in 2003.

Aside from her presenting work, Angela is in great demand to chair conferences and seminars and is a highly skilled conference facilitator and after dinner speaker. She has a wealth of experience hosting events and award ceremonies, both at home and abroad.
