Award-winning Alistair Bunkall began his broadcasting career as a sports presenter on ITV before joining the Sky News team in 2008. He went on to become the channel’s business correspondent in 2010/11 covering political and diplomatic discussions around Europe and was made the Defence Correspondent for Sky News in 2012. He is also a Global Counter Terror Congress Advisory Board Member. In great demand as a conference speaker, Alistair’s topics of speech include international news and current affairs. He is available for conference, after dinner and public keynote speaking, as a host and moderator and for television and media.

Award-winning Alistair Bunkall began his broadcasting career as a sports presenter on ITV before joining the Sky News team in 2008. He went on to become the channel’s business correspondent in 2010/12 covering political and diplomatic discussions around Europe on the crisis affecting the Eurozone in addition to covering the double-dip recession in the UK in 2012. 

Alistair went on to become the Defence Correspondent for Sky News under which role he has broken a number of exclusive stories, including the privatisation of the UK’s Search and Rescue Service to an American company and the deployment of British military assets to assist the French mission in Mali. 

Over the years he has also been a key figure reporting on some of the biggest domestic stories in UK history including the Royal Wedding and the death of Margaret Thatcher. He has also reported on the conflict in South Sudan, the terror attacks in Norway, the murder of Lee Rigby, the disappearance of the Malaysian Airlines flight MH370, elections in Turkey and Pakistan as well as President Trump’s visit to Seoul and is a Global Counter Terror Congress Advisory Board Member. 

In great demand as a conference speaker, Alistair’s topics of speech include international news and current affairs.

Aside from reporting and presenting, Alistair is a regular contributor to such publications as the Evening Standard, The Telegraph, Spectator and New Statesman and has frequently reviewed the newspapers on LBC Radio.
