Knighted for his unprecedented achievement of winning 5 Olympic Gold Medals for rowing over consecutive games, Sir Steve has since carved a highly successful career for himself in the world of PR. He is greatly sought after as an after dinner and motivational speaker.

Full Biography

One of the greatest Olympians in living history Sir Steve competed as a rower in and won Gold at five consecutive Olympic Games between 1984 and 2000. In addition to this he won no less than nine World Championships titles from 1984 to 1998. Other rowing honours include the Henley Royal Regatta Diamond Sculls and a Triple Commonwealth Gold Medallist in Edinburgh winning in the single scull, Coxless Pairs and Coxed Four.

With a keen interest in winter sports, Sir Steve was a member of the British Bobsleigh Team in the 1989/90 season. Other sporting interest include golf.

He is a world record holder along with rowing partner Sir Matthew Pinsent. Sir Steve’s achievements are made more impressive by the fact he has triumphed over the face of adversity having been diagnosed with ulceritive colitis and diabetes causing him to suffer with extreme fatigue.

Away from the water, Sir Steve now enjoys a successful career in the media and on the corporate front. He is a popular television presenter covering a wide range of sporting events and played a mojor role in the coverage of the London 2012 Olympics, specializing in the rowing.
