More

When Kelly Holmes won double gold at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, she made history by becoming only the second female to take both the 800m and 1500m titles in over 80 years.

Despite winning the English School’s tournament in her youth, Kelly decided on a career in the army where she served for almost ten years, becoming a physical training instructor. It was only after seeing old friends competing in athletics on television that she made up her mind to return to the track. Just twelve months later, Kelly ran to victory in a n AAA race, followed by a sub two minute win in Oslo and Commonwealth title. With her sights firmly set on Olympic glory, disaster struck in the World Championships where she suffered a serious achilles injury threatening to end her career. The road back to fitness was long and filled with disappointment but Kelly overcame adversity to far exceed all expectation.

Since being catapulted into the public eye Kelly has founded a multi-million pound programme for British women athletes, became Vice President of the Women’s Sports Foundation, chairs her own charitable trust, is President of Commonwealth Games England, is patron of several charities and was an Ambassador for London 2012. She is also the author of a number of books including Black, White and Gold and Just Go For It – 6 Steps for Success.

On the corporate front, Kelly’s unique, engaging style of presenting is tailored to suit every client’s need. Drawing on her wealth of experience, her speeches are delivered with natural humour and charm, motivational and informative, allowing her audiences to reach their full potential. Kelly is equally at home addressing large conference and seminars or small groups.

She is available for after dinner speaking, motivational speaking, awards and conference hosting and personal appearances.
