Presenter, comedian and actor Alexander Armstrong is a former member of Cambridge Footlights subsequently joining forces with Ben Miller to create the comedy duo Armstrong and Miller. Famed as the host of Pointless and Pointless Celebrities, he has also presented such shows as Have I Got News For You, Alexander Armstrong’s A Very British Holiday and Saluting Dad’s Army. As an actor, narrator and voice over artist credits include; Dr Who, The Sarah Jane Adventures, Hunderby, Hey Duggee, Peppa Pig and Danger Mouse. He was also the subject of BBC’s Who Do You Think You Are.

Becoming a member of Cambridge Footlights, he joined forces with Ben Miller and together they formed the comedy duo Armstrong and Miller. Alexander has gone on to perform in a variety of shows including; Life Begins, Mutual Friends, Hunderby and Love Life, has featured in a number of films such as; Jackboots on Whitehall, Shelley, Matchpoint, Scoop and Churchill-The Hollywood Years and is also the voice of Mr Smith in the BBC1 series The Sarah Jane Adventures, in addition to providing voiceover roles for Peppa Pig and Danger Mouse as well as the narration for Hey Duggee and Bradley Walsh and Son: Breaking Dad.
Known to millions as co-host of Pointless and Pointless Celebrities, Alexander can also be seen guest hosting on such programmes as; Have I Got News For You, the documentary Alexander Armstrong’s Very British Holiday, Saluting Dad’s Army and The Imitation Game and was the subject of an episode of the BBC series Who Do You Think You Are.
