Steve Backley: OBE

 

Steve retired from British Athletics in 2004 having been at the pinnacle of his field as Britain's No. 1 javelin thrower for over a decade. He now concentrates on his career as a corporate speaker and is available for motivational speaking engagements.

Ed is a professional track and road bicycle racer. On road, achievements include winning the first stage of the Tour Of Berlin. On track, his specialist discipline is Pursuit where recent accolades include being part of the Gold medal winning teams at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Manchester and the British Olympic Squad that triumphed at the 2008 Beijing Games.

 
Nicole Cooke: MBE

 

 Born in Wales, Nicole began cycling at the age of eleven and at just sixteen won her first senior national title at the British National Road Race Championships. Tim is a British flat-water canoer who has taken a competitive part in the sport since the late 1990's.
