Mark Blundell

Formally heralded as one of Britain's most talented Formula 1 drivers, since his retirement from the track, Mark has gone on to carve himself a highly successful career in the corporate and media world where he is in much demand as both presenter and speaker.

Mark's racing career began at the age of 14 when he took up the sport of motor cross. Three years later with several championships under his belt, he made the transition to 4 wheels in Britain's Formula Ford where he also achieved early success gaining 2nd place in both British Junior Formula Ford Championships in his first season. In the following years, Mark moved progressively through the ranks before making his Formula 1 debut in 1991 with the Brabham, Yamaha Team where his highest finishing position was 6th place in the Belgium Grand Prix. During 1992 he signed a test deal with MaClaren while simultaneously racing sports cars with Peugeot. In the same year he won the Le Mans 24 hour race before returning to Formula 1 the following year with Ligier where he achieved 2 podium places, finishing 10th in the World Championships. Mark's final year in F1 came in 1995 when he returned to MaClaren for one season this time in a race seat.

With his F1 years behind him, Mark moved to the USA, where he turned his attention to Cart Racing with the Pac West Racing Team. Once again his career immediately flourished but an horrendous near death accident early in 1999 signalled the beginning of the end to his racing career despite some continued success in sports cars up to 2003.

Mark is currently a member of the ITV Racing Commentary Team with whom he travels for the F1 season interviewing drivers on the grid immediately prior to races in addition to providing post race analyses. His unique style has won him much recognition and popularity with the F1 community.

On the corporate front, Mark has become a highly accomplished speaker relating his personal experiences to the business world and making him an ideal choice as Motivational and Inspirational Speaker.
